Walks
The most direct route is via Llandeilo, Llandovery and Carmarthen and should take just over 2 hours. From Carmarthen continue on towards Tenby until you see a sign for Stepaside on the left and Kilgetty on the right. Take the left turn and after the viaduct turn left and next left which will circle you down under the viaduct. Continue on to the ruins and turn right into Heritage Park. Take the third left turn and then first left. You will see lodge 80 ahead of you
The key to the main door is in the key safe located on the wall. Please return the key to the safe on leaving the lodge.
There is one space adjacent to the lodge and any further cars are asked to park in the large car park by the entrance.
The lodge is light and airy,south-facing along the valley on the edge of Heritage Park. It is double glazed and has central heating, with double patio doors and Venetian blinds to keep the lodge cool.
The main bedroom has a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower. The other bedroom has twin beds and is next to the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have a hairdryer. Bedding, tea towels and bath mats are provided, but you need to bring your own towels.
The kitchen/living area has two sofas, a wall mounted fire and TV. The kitchen has a full sized fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and toaster, cafetiere, and is fully equipped.
The cushions for the patio furniture can be found in the black box
Please divide your rubbish into glass, recycling and landfill. The bins are located first turn right from the lodge (you will pass them on your way in)
Well behaved dogs are welcome, and have an exercise area alongside the stream further down the valley. They must be kept on leads in the park and poop bins are located along the path to Wisemans. Saundersfoot has restrictions on the beach between 1st May and 30th Sept, but dogs are allowed on Wiseman's beach.
Please use the throws provided in the lodge if your dog is likely to sit on the settees.
Due to the composition of the decking barbecues are not permitted in or around the lodge
The lodge is available from 3pm and we ask you to vacate by 10am
Kilgetty is a large village 5 minutes away if you go back across the main road.There is a Co-op with a large car park, a good fish and chip shop (get there before 9pm), and Indian and Chinese take aways.
Saundersfoot has a Tesco Express, good restaurants and several pubs. Also an extremely good butcher.
Larger supermarkets and shopping venues can be found in Haverford West, Pembroke and Carmarthen
The office is situated by the main entrance and is open from 9.00 to 5.00. Th staff are a mine of knowledge about bus services, good restaurants etc.
